A hard-won favorite of Albuquerque’s sex-positive community, I worked extensively on Pornotopia in 2014 and 2015. I touched up their logo and established and executed a brand for the 2014 and 2015 festivals. I designed and oversaw production of all printed materials. I wrote and edited their copywriter’s brilliant copy. And I implemented and oversaw their website. Coincidentally, I was also beginning work as a photographer, and shot both the fundraiser and full festival both years.
This festival fits into a range of sex-positive work I’ve done with Self Serve Sexuality Resource Center. (Self Serve and I have worked together since 2008, when they first advertised in An Underground Guide to Albuquerque.) Most of that work has been consulting or web-based, so it’s been a joy to design for print.
